Founder of the Purple Cobras and current captain of the EAHL C-3 Purple Cobras. Started Purple Cobras after 1 season with EAHL D Yo Momma when they didn't have room on their roster to add Dan 'Tazer' Chick. Started playing hockey after arrogantly deciding he was capable after a single public skating session. Was suitably humbled for the next several months (well, pretty regularly still).

Best Hockey Moment: Winning the Edge Cup in Winter 07/08, though the come from behind victory
over the Thirsty Bears in the Summer '08 playoffs was pretty good.
Hockey Highlights: Playing at the Pepsi Center was pretty boss
Most Embarrassing Hockey Moment: Knocking self out of a game after stepping on a puck.

Did you know? - Named team Purple Cobras after the "evil" team from the movie Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Nicknamed 'Blazer' after a character from the movie (originally wanted everyone to have a different "azer" on their jersey). Other team names that almost were: Skates On A Plane (deemed too long by EAHL) and The Red Scare. Played on a dodgeball team called The Floggers with fellow Purple Cobras Dan 'Tazer' Chick, Jason 'Wang Chung' Aoki and John Spear. Distinct odor from Rich's gear is caused by never washing it.
